Telecommunications distribution terminal housing made from Pocan S7020 | | | | | Pocan® is being used as a housing material for distribution terminals for the very first time.
With its new Unibox series, the Krone company has once again underlined its competence in the development and construction of housings and boxes for indoor and outdoor use in the telecommunications sector. The four different sizes of distribution terminal housing in this series are made of Pocan S7020, which also enables them to withstand any limit loads that may act on them. The excellent resistance of Pocan S7020 thus protects the housing against stress cracking, even if it comes into contact with aggressive chemicals, such as cleaning chemicals, which it should not normally encounter.
The material's high impact strength, including at low temperatures, largely prevents any mechanical damage through extreme stressing such as through the housing being dropped from a pole or onto frozen ground as it is being installed outdoors.
All the other standard material requirements for this type of housing are, of course, also fulfilled. A particular advantage of this series for the electrician is the fact that the lids will stay open in any desired position.
