Lightweight design – with high-tech plastics for "green mobility"

 
One approach for resource conservation and climate protection is the reduction of vehicle weight.
For example, reducing the weight of a car with a combustion engine by 100 kg cuts fuel consumption by around 0.5 l
per 100 km and lowers CO2 emissions by 11.65 g per kilometer traveled *.



Mobility will continue to play a key role in the future as it has long been an indispensable part of our everyday lives. Innovative concepts and solutions are needed to ensure this mobility is more compatible with environmental and resource conservation as well as climate and health protection in the future.


With our range of high tech thermoplastic materials Durethan®, Pocan® and Tepex® Composites we offer products as well as technologies for automotive lightweight design.
